INTERESTED IN ART

There’s a lot of business opportunities for a bright fresh college graduate. He or she might get into graphic art, Chicago marketing online, painting, real estate, architecture, or some other exciting field of business. Of course “might” is the operative word here. A lot of college graduates get into the real world, but they have to wait a while before getting the job they want or a job that they’re even remotely interested in. A lot of them become waiters or bartenders or even have to go to trade school just to start making decent money. It’s especially difficult sometimes if they’re interested in an art. The creative market has been down for years and years now and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better. Ten years or so ago, if you had an English degree, recruiters would have hunted you down for a high paying position. It was the fad at the time to try to find someone who could communicate clearly and efficiently. But that was ten years ago and this is now. Employers mostly want their new hires to have had some sort of experience in the position they’ll be doing and not many have that coming out of college. Instead, they even sometimes end up working in a factory.
